Perfect weather and a great turnout combined to make Simplex-IT’s 4th Annual Community Appreciation Picnic this past Wednesday, August 17, 2011 a resounding success. With nearly 70 attendees over the 4-hour duration there was plenty of discussion and lots of networking that took place.

There were the usual suspects: folks from the Streetsboro, Hudson and Greater Akron Chambers were in attendance as were IT professionals from the Greater Cleveland PC Users Group (GCPCUG). Several associates who are ‘in transition’ and various Simplex-IT clients rounded out the guest roster.

Chef Steve manned the grill most of the afternoon (I don’t know how Bob’s wife, Julie, talked him into it!) and he managed to keep the hot food coming to meet the demand.

Several low-key demonstrations were held on Microsoft Office 365 for those who expressed interest and island music played in the background giving an extra edge of summertime fun to the occasion. There’s nothing like a little Bob Marley to help put one in the mood!

If you missed it and now wished you hadn’t remember that old northeast Ohio mantra: “There’s always next year!”

Thanks to all who helped make it a great afternoon :-)
